Baramulla Police Cracks Down on Triple Riding,147 Bikers Booked and 75 Vehicles Seized

Baramulla:  After successful culmination of GELA-2024 and in order to ensure re-course of daily policing.On the directions of SSP Baramulla Sh. Mohammad Zaid Malik-JKPS, Baramulla Police launched a comprehensive drive to tackle persistent traffic violations, which have resulted in numerous accidents and casualties in recent months. The focus was on triple riding, driving without helmets, rash and negligent driving.
Baramulla Police seized 75 two-wheelers involved in triple riding and helmetless riding in the area. 147 Violators were booked, and cases were registered under relevant sections of law at concerned police stations. Investigations are underway.
The drive aims to curb traffic violations, ensure road safety for law-abiding citizens, and serve as a deterrent to future violators. The public has appreciated Baramulla Police’s efforts to keep a close check on violators, ensuring safe movement on roads and public places.
Remember to ride safely, wear helmets, and follow traffic rules.
Baramulla Police shall continue such drives in the district to check traffic violations.
