J&K Police registered FIR against hotel for concealing stay of foreign nationals in Anantnag

Anantnag,March 23: J&K Police have registered an FIR against Hotel Misty Mountains, Laddi for concealing the stay of foreign nationals in the Dehwatoo area of Pahalgam.

During routine checking in Dehwatoo area of Pahalgam, it was found that 23 foreign nationals, including 19 British nationals, had checked into Hotel Misty Mountains Laddi on the evening of March 22, 2026. The hotel management willfully concealed their stay from Police Station Pahalgam and failed to submit the mandatory Form ‘C’, thereby violating provisions of the Foreigners and Immigration Act, 2025 and compromising prescribed security protocols.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 18/2026 under relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Pahalgam and investigation has been taken up.

J&K Police urges all hotel operators to strictly comply with legal requirements regarding reporting of foreign guests.
