The advisory reiterates the warning issued on August 1, 2024. “Indian nationals are strongly advised against traveling to Lebanon till further notice,” the embassy stated.

Indian nationals residing in Lebanon have been advised to leave the country as soon as possible. Those who remain are cautioned to exercise extreme caution, restrict movements, and stay in contact with the embassy.

The embassy can be contacted through email at cons.beirut@mea.gov.in or the emergency phone number +96176860128.

The advisory comes amid escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, resulting in significant casualties. The Lebanese Health Ministry reported 558 fatalities, including 50 children, and 1,835 injuries due to Israeli military strikes.

Israel has continued striking Hezbollah positions in Lebanon, while the Iran-backed terror group fired rockets at Haifa, Nahariya, the Galilee, and the Jezreel Valley. The Israel Defence Forces targeted over 1,600 sites in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley.

Several Israelis were treated for shrapnel injuries, and panic attacks.
