Nocturnal Fire Damages House in Kulgam’s Panipora Area

Kulgam: A devastating fire broke out in the Panipora area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir, leaving a residential house severely damaged. The incident occurred during the night between Thursday and Friday, engulfing the structure belonging to a low-income family.

Locals told the news agency CNS that the firefighters responded promptly to their calls and successfully contained the blaze. Unfortunately, the house suffered significant damage, rendering the family homeless.

This incident echoes a similar fire mishap in Frisal, Kulgam, where a mosque and a residential house were damaged earlier this year.

The local community has appealed to the district administration for assistance to support the affected family.
