Congress Restructured in J&K: Vikar Rasool

Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Vikar Rasool on Thursday said that over the past two years, the Congress party experienced significant setbacks, with 70 percent of its structure being dismantled.

However, he and his team have worked diligently to rebuild the party’s structure, leading to a strong and vibrant presence in the Union Territory.

Rasool, while addressing the attendees, emphasized his readiness to accept any role assigned by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) leadership.

He stated his willingness to take on any position, even the most junior, with honor and dedication.

Notably, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, and party chief Mallikarjun Kharge landed in Srinagar on Wednesday and were welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on August 16 announced that the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections will be held in three phases with results to be declared on October 4.(KNS).
