Assembly Elections-2024: DEO Srinagar reviews arrangements for General Elections to Legislative Assembly

Stresses on ensuring all requisite facilities/AMF at Polling Station & Collection/Distribution Centers


Srinagar: In order to review the progress of arrangements being put in place with regard to conduct of upcoming General Elections to Legislative Assembly in all Eight Assembly Constituencies of the District, a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of the District Election Officer (DEO) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex here today.
The DEO took a detailed appraisal from all Assistant Returning Officers and Officers of the line Departments about the arrangements being made at Polling Stations، Collection /Distribution Centres and at designated Strong Rooms in Srinagar.
On the occasion, the DEO stressed on ensuring all requisite/Assured Minimum Facilities(AMF) facilities at all designated Polling Stations, Distribution/Collection centres and Strong Rooms,
The DEO directed the Officers to work with utmost coordination to complete all assigned tasks related to the conduct of the Assembly Elections-2024. He stressed that Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) at each and every Polling Station viz Permanent ramps, drinking water, toilet facilities as per norms of ECI.
The DEO stresses the officers to focus on meticulous preparations to reflect the commitment of conducting a successful Assembly Election in 2024 in the District.
The DEO emphasised officers to uphold electoral laws, regulations, and ethical standards to ensure the integrity and fairness of the electoral process.
