Congress Open to Alliances with Like-Minded Parties, Says Karra

Srinagar: Tariq Hameed Karra, newly appointed chief of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), announced the party’s openness to forming alliances with like-minded individuals and parties.

Speaking at the PCC headquarters in Srinagar, Karra stated, “As far as the alliance, we are open to like-minded people or parties to forge an alliance with them.”

Karra’s comments come after the National Conference (NC) approached the Congress Central leadership in Delhi with a proposal for a pre-poll alliance.

He emphasized that if parties share the goal of countering divisive forces and the BJP, they are welcome to collaborate with the Congress.

“If parties are of the ideas that we have to defeat divisive forces and BJP, they will definitely ally with the Congress. And we will definitely succeed,” Karra asserted.
