Ganderbal Police organised Plantation drive in the memory of Martyrs

Ganderbal: In the memory of Police Martyrs under the theme “Ek Paed Shahedoun Ke Naam” J&K Police Ganderbal organised Plantation Drive in collaboration with Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal at Bamloora Park Ganderbal.

In a statement police spokesperson said that the drive was launched by SSP Ganderb Sandeep Gupta along with DFO Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal and NOKs of Police Martyrs, besides SP Hqr’s Ganderbal  Gh Hassan and Dy.SP Dar Nazir Ahmad also participated in the Plantation Drive held at Govt. Higher Secondary School Lar, Govt. High School Chount-Waliwar & Govt. Primary School Kokagund respectively in which Family members of Police Martyrs, Principal GHSS Lar, Students, Officers & Officials of Police and Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal also participated.

 

He added that SSP Ganderbal said that the initiative is being taken to inculcate the sense of patriotism and responsibility among the citizens towards their motherland & thus helps in saving the environment by planting more and more trees, besides creating awareness about the supreme sacrifices of our brave hearts for the sake of the nation.

 

“The main aim behind this campaign is to get at least one tree planted in the name of Martyrs and to memorize the sacrifices by the Martyred Police Personnel in line of duty and also promote awareness, importance and community engagement in understanding Environmental ethics and role of Police and Public in upliftment of Nation and  Natural resources. The Plantation drive will also help us to offset emissions which upset our ecological balance,” said the statement.
