Battal Poonch Update: The Injured Soldier Succumbs In Hospital

Jammu: The army man who was critically injured during exchange of fire between militants and security in Battal area of KG Sector Mendhar Poonch succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.

Official sources said that an Infiltration bid was foiled by the Army in Battal sector, during exchange one soldier identified as Subhash was critically injured.

He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries, they said.

Earlier, Taking on to the micro-blogging platform X, army wrote, “Alert troops foiled an infiltration bid by effectively engaging infiltrating terrorists with effective fire in the Battal Sector at 0300h.

During the exchange of heavy fire, one braveheart was injured.
Operations are continuing, reads the post.
