Srinagar: An 18-year-old youth was left critically injured after being allegedly stabbed at Karan Nagar area in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Saturday.
Reports reaching the news agency CNS said the incident occurred at Karan Nagar when the victim, identified as Ahsan Zargar, a resident of Zampa Kadal, Chattabal was attacked with a sharp object.
“In the attack, the victim was gravely injured. He was immediately shifted to nearby SHMS hospital for his treatment,” reports said.
The condition of youth was said to be critical. Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of the matter.
It is pertinent to mention that a fruit vendor was stabbed to death last month in Srinagar’s Dalgate area by another fruit seller.
