Five Drug Smugglers Detained Under PIT-NDPS Act in Kulgam

Kulgam: Five persons have been detained under Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1988 (PIT NDPS) in Kulgam district, said an official on Wednesday.

The Police official said that the five persons were recommended and subsequently detained under the PIT NDPS Act for their deep involvement in drug related activities. “The involvement of the five were established on multiple instances,” the official added.

Identifying the detainees as, Mohd Ramzan Sheikh , resident of Wanpora, Arif Ahmad Bhat, Shahid Ahmad Bhat, resident of Brazloo, Firdous Ahmad Sheikh, resident of Machewa and Hilal Ahmad Dar, resident of Malwan, the official further said.
