Palestinian death toll in Gaza rises to 33,843

Gaza: The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced Tuesday that the Palestinian death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has risen to 33,843.

The ministry said in a press statement that 46 people were killed and 110 others injured in five Israeli raids during the past 24 hours.

This brings the total death toll to 33,843 and injuries to 76,575 since the Israel-Hamas conflict broke out on October 7, 2023. The statement noted that some victims remained under the rubble amid heavy bombardment and a lack of civil defense and ambulance crews.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that a missile launch pad and dozens of “terrorist” infrastructures, including tunnels and military buildings of Hamas, were hit in Israel’s aerial and artillery strikes in the central Gaza Strip.
The IDF’s 162nd Division also killed Hamas fighters in a “precise raid” in central Gaza on Tuesday, the Jerusalem Post reported, citing the Israel Defence Forces.
Israel has been launching a large-scale offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip to retaliate against a Hamas rampage through the southern Israeli border on Oct. 7, 2023, during which about 1,200 people were killed and more than 200 were taken hostage.
