Body of women found in Budgam field

Budgam: A dead body of a woman was found in the field of Budgam district.
A police officer told news agency Kashmir Scroll that on 14th February 2024 a Call was received by Police Station Magam ,reporting the recovery of Suspicious dead body in an open field.
“Following this report, an investigation under Section 174 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC )Commenced,” he said.
The deceased was identified as Kulsum Rehman daughter of Ab Rehman Lone resident of Drung Tangmarg.
“A suicide note recovered during a personal search of the deceased, implicated a local youth, alleging his involvement in her decision to commit Suicide due an alleged affair and subsequent denial of marriage”, he added.
Prima facia seems to be a Case of poisoning related suicide abetted by the youth who was arrested in the Case.
According to Case FIR No 18/2024 under section 306 0f IPC was registered at Police Station Magam and Further investigation was taken up.
