Snow avalanche hits Sonamarg, no loss of life

Sonamarg: A massive snow avalanche hit central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that a snow avalanche hit Sonamarg. He said the snow on the mountains slided and stopped in Sindh.
The official said that no loss of life or property was reported.
Meanwhile, authorities issued weather advisory of which a copy lies with Kashmir Scroll reads, In view of Avalanche warning with low danger level above 2300 meters over Ganderbal on 7th Feb, 2024 to 8th Feb 2024, it is requested to the general public of district Ganderbal to remain cautious & not to venture out in slopes, hilly areas or avalanche prone areas till further instructions.
