Police arrests drug peddler in Baramulla

Baramulla: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddler in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered contraband substances from his possession.

A Spokesperson said that a police party headed by SHO Police Station Uri during naka checking established at Laghama Uri intercepted one person namely Manzoor Ahmad Janjua son of Akbar Din Janjua resident of Machikrund. During the search, officer were able to recover 36 grams of Charas-like substance from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to police station Uri where he remains in custody.

“Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at police station Uri and investigation have been initiated”, he said.
