DC Ganderbal approves 348 cases under PM Vishwakarma scheme

Ganderbal: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today approved 348 cases under PM Vishwakarma scheme during a meeting of District Level Committee held in the V.C Room of Mini Secretariat, here.

The General Manager, District Industries Centre, Ganderbal, provided an updated list of 348 artisans who have been approved at the district level committee after thorough second-level verification.

The DC undertook a thorough evaluation of the progress in artisan registration, verification processes in rural and urban areas, stakeholder capacity building, and the monitoring and evaluation mechanism for artisans.

He emphasized the importance of concerted efforts and creating awareness among masses to maximize the scheme’s impact on the socio-economic development of artisans.

The DC said that the PM Vishwakarma scheme is poised to directly benefit thousands of artisans and craftsmen in the district, providing them with essential tools, training, and financial support for their socio-economic development.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Dr Bashir Ahmad, General Manager DIC, Lead District Manager, AD H&H and other concerned officers.
