Srinagar: At least seven makeshift residential structures were gutted in a fire incident in the wee hours of Thursday at the Gujjar Basti in Galandar area of Pampore, officials said.
They told the news agency CNS that nearly seven makeshift structures in Gujjar Basti, sheltering a number of families, were gutted in a fire, which broke out around 4:00 am.
The fire was said to have been brought under control at 10:00 am after strenuous efforts of the firefighters, police and the locals.
In the incident, no casualties took place except a beyond repairable damage incurred on the structures, they said, adding that the cause of fire was not known.
