Sensex surges over 300 pts

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex continued to climb on Friday too, as it rallied 339.91 pts at 72,061.091 in opening session on the strength of IT, Realty and Technology stocks.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 95.75 pts at 21,742.95.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 72,213.89 and 71,982.29 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra days high and low at 21,789.15 and 21,715.15 pts respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up 0.29 pc and Small Cap by 0.65 pc.

In 30 scrips, 10 advanced while 20 declined.

The gainers were Infosys by 6.37 pc to Rs 1590.20, Wipro by 3.94 pc to Rs 465.70, Tech Mahindra by 3.91 pc to Rs 1297.35, TCS by 3.78 pc to Rs 3877.55 and HCL Technology by 2.91 pc to Rs 1529.

The losers were M& M by 1.32 pc to Rs 1608.35, Powergrid by 0.99 pc to Rs 239.45, Asian Paints by 0.97 pc to Rs 3256 and Nestle India Ltd by 0.93 pc to Rs 2534.05.
