Mumbai:  The Rupee on Wednesday surged nine paise at 83.11 on selling of US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.

The local unit advanced owing to weak dollar against other world currencies amid positive stock market in opening session, dealer said.

The Rupee recorded intra days high and low at 83.09 and 83.15 respectively, dealer added.
