Property Of Notorious Drug Peddlers Worth Lacs Attached

 

 

Awantipora : Continuing its Operation against drug peddlers Awantipora Police today attached Two(02) single-storied, residential houses valuing approximately Thirty Nine Lacs belonging to two notorious drug peddlers namely Mukhtar Ahmad Rather S/o Gh Ahmad Rather R/o Hariparigam and Abdul Qayoom Bhat S/O Ab Khaliq Bhat R/O Larkipora under section 68-Fof NDPS Act 1985.

These residential houses were identified as illegally acquired properties during the course of enquiry conducted by SHO Police Station Awantipora, which have accrued from illicit trafficking in Narcotic drug and Psychotropic Substances by these drug peddlers.

Pertinently Drug peddler namely Mukhtar Ahmad Rather is involved in Case FIR No’s

  1. i) 166/2022 US 8/15 NDPS Act of PS Awantipora.
  2. ii) 79/2020 US 8/15NDPS Act Of PS Awantipora.

iii) 07/2021 US 8/22 NDPS Act OF PS Nowgam sgr

iv )37/2019 US 21-22 NDPS Act PS Bijbeahara

  1. V) FIR 290/2016 US 8/21 -29 NDPS Act of PS Bijbehara.

Similarly drug peddler namely Abdul Qayoom Bhat is involved in Case FIR No.

  1. i) 208/2022 u/s 8/15 NDPS Act of PS Awantipora

Both the notorious drug peddlers are currently detained under PIT-NDPS Act and lodged at Central Jail Kot Balwal Jammu.

This operation reaffirms the commitment of Awantipora Police to combat the drug menace. Local people of the area hailed the initiative of Awantipora Police with regard to the attachment of immoveable property which has been raised/ used from illicit trafficking of narcotics by the drug peddlers in the Police District Awantipora.
