Cultural Unit Kashmir of DIPR organises Symposium & Cultural program at GHSS Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar

Srinagar:As part of its initiative to empower youth, the Cultural Unit Kashmir of Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) J&K in collaboration with Government Boys Higher Secondary School Jawahar Nagar Srinagar today organised a symposium and Cultural Program at GHSS Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar on ‘Introduction to Youth Empowerment and Skill Development’.

The aim of the program was to make students aware of life skills which are vital to effectively tackle the challenges of the 21st century and to bring attitudinal and behavioral change.

Popular drama artists performed a short play on Youth Empowerment.

Senior lecturer Sabiya Hassan hosted the event while Principal GHSS Jawahar Nagar, Farooq Ahmad Raina presided over the function.

Students, Moomin Tariq, Imaad Mehboob, Mohd Ayaan, Mufeeq Farooq, Mohd Idrees and Suhail Nasir spoke on the topic.

Moomin Tariq, Mohd Idrees and Suhail Nasir respectively got the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in the speech competition.

The School administration appreciated the organisers for this initiative as these types of programs empower students with soft skills such as interpersonal relations, decision making, time management, team skills, communication and leadership.

Programme was attended by GHSS Jawahar Nagar staff, Officers of Information department and students.

In the concluding session Certificates of participation and mementos were distributed among the participants of the symposium.
