Dist Admin Ganderbal holds interaction with Lumbardars, Chowkidars

Ganderbal: The District Administration Ganderbal today held interaction session with the newly appointed Lumbardars and Chowkidars of the district at Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.

The meeting was held with the purpose to discuss the roles and responsibilities of Lumbardars and Chowkidars in their concerned villages and to emphasize their crucial role in maintaining law and order in their respective areas.

The program was attended by the Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir, ADC, Mehraj-u-din Shah, ACR, Tehsildars, NTs,  Girdawars and Pathwaris of the district.

The DC highlighted the crucial role of the Lumbardars and Chowkidars in ensuring the safety and security of the villagers. He asked them to work in tandem with the district administration and emphasized the need for transparency and fairness in carrying out their duties.

He also urged them to carry out watch and ward of the villages and reporting of occurrence of any crime or law and order situation to law enforcement agencies.

During the program Lumbardars and Chowkidars were urged to aware the general public about various govt. services in their jurisdiction like digitization of Jamabandies and availability of revenue records on online revenue portals, awareness about providing of different services by the Government through online mode, how to apply for online services, information about Public Service Guarantee Act.

They were also urged to work with dedication and sincerity towards maintaining law and order in their areas, and to ensure the safety and security of locals, preventing encroachment, reporting cases of accidents, fires and drug abuse.

The newly appointed Lumbardars and Chowkidars expressed their gratitude to the DC for taking the time to interact with them and provide them with valuable guidance.
