Going digital is the best possible method to take J&K forward: Chief Secretary Mehta

J&K is completely digital; People should avoid visiting offices when problems can be resolved online at home; People of J&K are the best you are working with

 Srinagar: Chief Secretary J&K, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta Monday said that going digital is the best possible method of taking J&K forward. He said the UT of J&K is almost done at digital front and the administration is moving further to achieve feats.

“I believe that going digital is the best possible method of taking Jammu and Kashmir forward,” Chief Secretary J&K Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta as per KNS told reporters on the sidelines of an event held at Ghanta Ghar, Lal Chowk in connection with Digital Week J&K.

Mehta said in 2018-19 the government of J&K has completed 9229 projects approximately while 92,000 projects have been done in 2022-23. He said in digital mechanism the power shifts from officials to common people which is the real empowerment of people.

He said many supports the digital mechanism and few opposes this system. “Those having ill intentions are the real ones who oppose the ongoing digital system,” Mehta said.

He asserted that J&K has completed became digital and the administration is moving further to achieve more feats on this front. He at the occasion appealed media persons to create awareness among masses so that each and every citizen of J&K will participate and contribute wholeheartedly in making J&K further digital.

“Why do people today visit offices when they have facility available to resolve their problems at home through online mode. I believe the people of J&K are the best you are working with,” he added.
