School-boy from Baramulla Drowns to Death in Sonamarg

Srinagar, June 24 : A school-going boy from Baramulla district drowned to death in a river in Sonamarg area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, official sources said.

They told GNS that a student of a private school in Baramulla, who was on picnic, drowned while taking bath in river Sindh.

“The boy was immediately rescued and taken to a nearby health centre, where the doctors declared him as brought dead on arrival”, they said.

Confirming the incident to GNS, a police official identified the deceased as Suhaib Farooq Chachi (14), son of Farooq Ahmad Chachi, a resident of Chandoosa Baramulla.
