Live mortar shell destroyed in Budgam forest area

Budgam, Mar 26: Bomb Disposal Squad destroyed a rusty live mortar shell in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that police recovered an old live mortar shell in Lassipora Drung forest area, that falls under the jurisdiction of police station Khag.

Shortly after the recovery, police informed the Bomb Disposal Squad which destroyed the shell without causing and damage to life or property.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case under relevant sections of law and started an investigation.
