DDC Gbl chairs DLRC/DCC meeting for quarter ended December, 2022

Rs 554.24 crores disbursed to 22652 beneficiaries under District Credit Plan 2022-23

Ganderbal, Mar 13: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Shyambir today chaired District Level Review Committee & District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting to review the performance of Banks operating in the District & Line Departments for the quarter ended December 2022 under District Credit Plan 2022-23 in the Conference Hall of Physical Education College, Gadoora Ganderbal.

The meeting was attended by Lead District Manager Ganderbal Nissar Ahmad Bhat, District Development Manager NABARD Junaid Hakeem, General Manager DIC, Zahid Rashid Khan, Assistant Director Employment, Beenish, Incharge Advances J&K Bank, Zone Budgam, Shakti Pal Singh, Director RSETI Ganderbal, Urfana, District Coordinators of Banks and District Officers of Line Departments.

The fora discussed in detail the progress and achievements made by the banks under priority sector like Agriculture, MSME, GSS and other micro schemes to weaker sections of the society.

Giving detailed summary of the achievements for the quarter ended December 2022 under District Credit Plan, Lead District Manager, Ganderbal Nissar Ahmad Bhat informed the house that the banks in the District have disbursed an amount of Rs 554.24 crores to 22652 beneficiaries against the yearly target of Rs 862.08 crores to 29279 beneficiaries thus achieving 64 % of District Credit Plan, 2022-23.

Further, the meeting was informed that the total deposits of the district have increased from Rs 1773.48 crores as on.31.12.2021 to Rs 1782.37 crores as on 31.12.2022 witnessing a growth of 0.50 % on YOY basis while advances have increased from Rs 1441.54 crores as on 31.12.2021 to Rs 1618.68 crores on 31.12.2022 registering a growth of 12.28 % on YOY basis. CD Ratio stood 90.81 % as on 31.12.2022 which is 30.18 % above the benchmark i.e. 60 %.

Giving overview of credit disbursement through different schemes the Lead District Manager informed the meeting that the credit disbursement of Rs 10.65 crores has been provided to 157 beneficiaries of district Ganderbal under Mumkin Scheme, the credit disbursement of Rs 1.70 crores to 34 beneficiaries under Tejaswini Scheme, under PMEGP scheme the banks have sanctioned 122.09 crores to 2425 beneficiaries out of 2894 sponsored cases and Rs 82.91 crores have been disbursed among the beneficiaries so far.

Similarly, under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna an amount of Rs 236.69 crores has been disbursed among 11743 beneficiaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Shyambir advised all the banks and sponsoring agencies to work with co-operation, coordination and cohesion to achieve targets and goals for the development and progress besides generation of employment for the youth in the District.

He appreciated the performance of the J&K Bank and advised all other banks to put in strenuous efforts and up their respective achievements viz-a-viz targets.

The DDC directed all the financial institutions, govt.departments and other institutions/ agencies to ensure 100% achievements in social security schemes so as to benefit the maximum number of masses from such schemes.

Potential Linked Credit Plan for an amount of Rs 616.75 crores for year 2023-24 prepared by NABARD was also formally launched by the DDC

He also directed all the banks and line departments to conduct awareness programs at Village /Block / Panchayat level to increase awareness among the people about social security schemes, developmental and employment generation programs of the government in the district.
