JKP women Bn. IRP 15th celebrate International Women’s Day-2023

Jammu, Mar 8: International Women’s Day was celebrated today at IRP 15th (Ladies) Battalion, Gulshan Ground, Jammu. The day long celebrations included debate, presentation of a colorful cultural programme by J&K Police Cultural Team & singing by officers etc. Mrs. Nisha Nathyal, IPS, DIG Armed/IRP Jammu Range was Chief Guest on the occasion.

Children of various women officials were specially invited to share the experience of their working mothers and how inspired they feel from the contribution of their mothers in their families.  Manasvi Kotwal (age 7 years) Class 2nd D/O Sgct. Bindiya Devi, Snahal Rajput (Age 11 years) class 6th D/O Sgct. Nirmal Devi, Yashika Bhagat (age 14 years) Class 10th D/O Sh. Surjeet Kumar, Dy.CO. IR-15th Bn,Farishta Al Sana (age 19 years) BBA student Jammu University D/O HC Shahnaz Bano, Rubal Rathore (age 19 years) student of 3rd semester of Jammu University D/O HC Jyoti Parihar, Simran Thakur (age 11 years) Class 6th D/O Sgct. Neelam Thakur, Aakriti & Yashaswani Singh (age 19 & 09 years)D/O Inspr. Pooja Parihar who spoke on the occasion very passionately highlighted the life and struggle of women, particularly the working women, who maintain their personal and professional life very delicately.

A scintillating performance was given by the J&K Police Cultural Team and many officers viz.  Shwetambri, DySP, Usha Kher, DySP, S. Rishi Singh,DySP besides by  Madhu Bandral (Rtd. SP), who enthralled the audience with beautiful renditions of songs.

Speaking on the occasion, Mubassir Latifi, Commandant IR-15th Bn. congratulated all the Women officers/officials on the occasion of International Women’s Day and lauded the contribution of Women Police Personnel in various challenging assignments viz. maintenance of law and order, security of vital installations, VIP protection and other miscellaneous duties. He also appreciated their dedication towards their families and exhibiting courage and resilience by overcoming all the odds.

 Nisha Nathyal, IPS, DIG Armed/IRP Range Jammu, Chief Guest on the occasion, boosted the morale of lady officials/officers and their children. In her address, she praised the Police-women for their professional duties, while at the same time also being the main force behind managing their families and household matters. The function was attended by  Rashmi Wazir, SSP (Commandant Ist Women Bn.), Mrs. Anita Sharma, SSP, (Commandant IRP 14th Bn.), Dr. Nazia Rasool Latifi, Co-ordinator EVS Cluster University, Jammu,  Rashmi Arya, Senior Asstt. Professor, Govt. Degree College Bishnah and a large number of lady officers posted in different wings of J&K Police.

On the occasion a medical camp was organized by J&K Police Hospital Jammu in which various tests were conducted. Various stalls of different merchandise like, lady suits, Jewellery and Street food were also the main attraction on the occasion.

Insp. Pooja Parihar conducted the proceedings of the function, welcome address was delivered by Shwetambri Sharma, DySP and vote of thanks was presented by  Swati Sharma, DySP of the unit.
