DC Gbl unfurls tricolor on full dress rehearsal for R-Day

Ganderbal, Jan 24: Full dress rehearsal was held in district Ganderbal in connection with the forthcoming 74th Republic-day here at Qamariya Ground Ganderbal.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir unfurled the tricolor, took the salute at the march-past, inspected the parade and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by various departments for the hassle free celebration of the national event at the venue here today.

The march-past was presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, SSB, PTS Manigam, Forest Protection Force, SPO Ganderbal, District Police, Home Guard, Fire Service and students of various schools.

The Full Dress Rehearsal witnessed a colorful cultural show presented by the students who also presented patriotic songs and folk dance.

In his address, the DC complimented all the departments engaged in preparations for hassle free celebration of 74th Republic Day. He gave onspot necessary instructions to the concerned committee members for further fine tuning the arrangements with regard to media management, cultural programs, stage, etc.

The event was witnessed by ADDC, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, ADC, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah, ASP, Feroz Yehya CPO, ACR, besides other district officers from civil and police department.
