ADC Gbl inspects functioning of Regional Transformer Repair workshop

Ganderbal, Jan 12: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah today visited the Regional Transformer Repair workshop at Old Power House premises Ganderbal and took stock of its functioning.

During the visit, the ADC inspected all the sections of the workshop like assemble section, winding and rewinding sections and enquired about the repairing capacity of damaged transformers on a daily basis.

The Executive Engineer PDD briefed the ADC about its functioning, manpower, machinery availability and repairing capacity.

He informed that 791 damaged transformers (DTs) have been received from April last year till date out of which 787 DTs stand restored and put to use. He assured that the remaining 04 DTs shall be dispatched today.

The ADC asked him to ensure that sufficient buffer stock of transformers is kept so that damaged transformers are replaced immediately and directed authorities to enforce strict adherence to duty rosters.

While giving details, the Executive Engineer said that sufficient Buffer stock of DTs of different capacities is available in the district and it is ensured that damaged transformers are replaced immediately so that consumers may not suffer.
