Helicopter booking service portal launched for Amarnath Yatra

Srinagar, June 16 :Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday launched an online helicopter booking service portal for the devotees bound to Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra cave in Himalayas of Kashmir.

For the first time the devotees will be able to travel with ease directly from Srinagar to Panchtarni to complete the holy yatra in a single day, LG said in a tweet.

The 43-day-long Amarnath yatra will commence on June 30 to August 11, 2020 after two years of Covid restrictions.

“It was a long pending endeavour of the Government to introduce helicopter services from Srinagar for better connectivity and accessibility. Devotees can easily log on to Shrine Board’s website for the booking”, LG tweeted.
