National Lok-Adalat held in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, May 14: District Legal Services Authority, Ganderbal under the Chairmanship of Chairperson District Legal Services Authority, Ganderbal, Shazia Tabasum and under the guidance of Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Ganderbal, Tabasum, organized a National Lok-Adalat at District Ganderbal today.

Three benches were constituted for the amicable settlement of cases, Two at District Court Ganderbal and One at Munsiff Court Kangan.

First Bench was presided by Ms. Shazia Tabasum, Chairperson District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal,  Umi Kulssom, Chief Judicial Magistrate Ganderbal and Tabasum, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal both as Bench Members. Second Bench was presided by Waseem Mirza, Munsiff/JMIC Ganderbal and Advocate Sajad Hyder Salathi as Bench Member. Third Bench at Munsiff Court Kangan was presided by Kartar Singh, Munsiff/JMIC Kangan and Advocate Imeetul Mehraj as Bench member.

 Overall 621 cases were taken up for settlement out of which 355 cases were amicably settled or Compromised on spot. Rs. 35,000 was recovered as fine for violations of different statutes and Rs. 22, 47,292 was awarded in (138 NI Act) cases, Bank recovery and other cases.
