Budgam Killing: Members of KP Community Stage Protest In Anantnag

Srinagar, May 12 : Scores of Kashmiri Pandits putting up at various transit camps in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district Thursday evening took to roads to protest against the killing of a fellow community member in central Kashmir’s Budgam district today.

Reports reaching GNS said that the Pandits at Vessu Qazigund and Mattan Anantnag besides at few other places strongly denounced the killing of the community member Rahul Bhat. Bhat, a Tehsil office employee, succumbed to his injuries at a SMHS hospital Srinagar, after being attacked by unidentified gunmen at Chadoora area in Budgam district.

Many of those protesting were seen carrying candles as a mark to register their protest.

The Community members have demanded the government to launch a probe into the incident to bring the culprits to justice.
