DFO Kamraj Expressly Prohibits Entry of Public Inside Several Forest Areas of Forest Division Zangli

Kupwara, May 10 : Divisional Forest Officer Kamraj has issued a notification informing the prohibition of public movement inside several forest areas falling under forest division Zangli.

“The public is being notified by virtue of this notification that in applicability to an order vide number Divcom/RA/353/2022 dated April 20, 2022, entry of public is being prohibited inside Trumakhan Top, Bimas Top, Jabdian Top and other adjacent forest areas”, reads a notification a copy of which lies with GNS.

The prohibition is being made due to cultivation of Bhang and other allied products, the notification reads.

Reiterating it, the notification reads that if any of the person(s) comes in contravention to the directive, such person(s) will be booked under Forest Act 1927 and Narcotics Act 1985.

The DFO has in the meantime also dealt a strict warning against issuance of illegal permits to anyone.
