Bukhari seeks regularisation of daily wagers on eve of PM Modi’s JK visit

Srinagar, April 12: Former minister and Apni Party president Syed Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address the issues pertaining to regularisation of the daily wagers within 60 days.
While addressing a news conference, Bukhari said that the daily wagers in various departments in Jammu and Kashmir have been waiting for their regularisation for decades.
Calling for special announcement for regularisation of daily wagers employed in various departments, Bukhari said these daily wagers have been working relentlessly in various departments for the last decade making it incumbent upon the government to redress their long pending grievances.
He further added that the Prime Minister, who is visiting J&K for the first time since August 05, 2019, should make an announcement with regard to the regularisation of the daily wagers within the period of 30-60 days.
“A prime ministerial call for regularization will lend credence and respectability to PM’s visit otherwise we will be forced to hit the roads”,Bukhari added.
