DC reviews implementation of flagship Central Schemes

Sets timeline of April 15 for achieving 100% target  

Doda, Mar 31: To evaluate the physical and financial progress under Centrally Sponsored Schemes, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma today chaired a meeting here in mini meeting hall of DC office Doda. The schemes of the departments reviewed in the meeting  included Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Cooperative, Agriculture, Labour, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Social Welfare, Handloom, Handicrafts, Forest,  Employment, Banks and ICDS.

Inquiring about the   Fisheries department schemes Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) and National Nutritional Support programme, it was informed that 1039 Fishermen are registered with the department. The targets under PMMSY for low-cost houses to BPL beneficiaries have been achieved in full for the current financial year 2021-22. The department was directed to chase the beneficiaries and ensure that all the eligible get their due under all welfare schemes.

Regarding the Animal Husbandry department, it was given out that around 87% of the cattle population has been vaccinated for FMD under the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP), during the current financial year.

 While reviewing the scheme for the welfare of the registered artisan and weavers, the DDC directed the AD to share the comparative figures of the progress achieved under registration/coverage during last financial year and the current financial year, which shall also include the numbers of beneficiaries provided financial assistance till now, the unit they are running. Besides, he was asked to ensure 100% saturation of beneficiaries under financial assistance programs.

The implementation of social security schemes  including Mudra scheme, PM Svanidhi, Atal Pension Yojana, PM JJBY, PMJDY, Rupay Card, besides Stand up India, Start Up India was also reviewed and the DDC directed the Bank representatives to submit the data covering all the schemes in comparison to the other districts so that an action plan was formulated to achieve cent percent saturation viz a viz all the targeted population.

Discussing the Mission Youth initiatives, it was informed that all panchayats have constituted Youth Clubs for which the DDC directed the AD Employment to submit the list of total members including minimum and maximum strength of members in a group. He was further asked to identify potential members in each Youth Club for imparting training in different trades to enhance their employability and encourage others to come forward.

Regarding Panchayat livelihood plan, the DDC directed the AD to devise a format for seeking information from the panchayats to identify critical areas so that    accordingly action plan will be formulated to fill the   gaps.

The forest department also apprised the chair about their ongoing programs like One Beat One Guard, Har Gaon Haryali. The DDC directed the concerned officials to submit the actual data within next two days which shall include the data about the number of beats that the department is having and the number of guards in place against these beats, besides the number an species of trees planted under Har Gaon Haryali program in the district, panchayat wise.   “The dame will help in covering the  left out areas/panchayats with special focus on panchayats of Aspirational blocks” he added.

The DC also reviewed Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies Program being implemented by Cooperative Department, e- Shram registration of Labour department, One Nation One Ration Card & PM Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojana being  implemented by FCS&CA department, PMMVY, Poshan Vatikas, Kuposhan Mukht Panchayat & JJM being implemented by  ICDS department.

 The achievement of targets under PM- AB-PM JAY-SEHAT, establishment, working of Health and Wellness Centres, achievements under Leprosy free programme & TB free programme, issuance of KCC, Soil health cards & benefits provided under PM Kissan, PM Cares and Old age Pension were also reviewed.
