EPFO hosts ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat’ camp for month of March

Jammu, Mar 10: “Nidhi Aapke Nikat” for the month of March, 2022 was conducted by EPFO Regional Office, Jammu today  from 10:00 AM to 04: 00 PM to cater to the stakeholders of Jammu & Kashmir.

EPFO is servicing Jammu& Kashmir and Ladakh with regard to settlement of claims, redressal of grievances, and facilitating stakeholders and so on. Considering the large number of grievances and to ensure service delivery at doorstep, various online initiatives of EPFO such as balance enquiry, filing of online claims including transfer and Covid-19 advance claims and members’ basic details were explained with hands on demonstration.

The Office released several benefits under EDLI Scheme to beneficiaries.

During this edition of Nidhi Aapke Nikat Programme, instructions were issued by Regional PF Commissioner – I, Rizwan Uddin to lay special emphasis on the resolution of cases pertaining to female employees and members to mark the ongoing Iconic Week and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Accordingly, the pending claims of Death cases were identified and processed on priority basis where women are beneficiaries.

The beneficiaries included Jyoti Sharma, wife of deceased member Late Shashi Sharma from M/s. JK Electric Engineers Pvt. Ltd.; Paramjit Kaur, wife of deceased member Late Karamjit from M/s. Manpower Group Services India Pvt. Ltd.; and Sara Begum, wife of deceased member Late Abdul Majeed Tantray from M/s. Mohammad Sultan Tantray Kralpora Bandipora. These beneficiaries were provided support in their difficult times through insurance amount which collectively stand at Rs.7,63,049/-. The PF claims were also approved in favor of these beneficiaries amounting to Rs.1,66,746/.

Release of benefits under Provident Fund Scheme was another major achievement:

The PF claims of deceased member Late Ajeet Singh from Peaks Auto Pvt. Ltd.  was also settled in favor of Jasmeet Kaur and Mandeep Kaur, wife and daughter of the deceased member.; Swarn Kour, wife of deceased member Late Swarn Singh from M/s. CIS Bureaus Facility Services; and Prab Dayal and Geeta Devi, father and mother of deceased member Late Jugal Kishore from M/s. CIS Bureaus Facility Services. All these processed claims amounted to Rs.2,85,035/-.

Potential of technology was used to redress the long pending issue:

One of the grievance was received through Whatsapp from Gopi, a representative of M/s. Instakart, from Bengaluru (which was personally attended by P F Commissioner, Rizwan Uddin), with a request to provide the PF details of their employee Syed Arfat as the company had no details of their UAN/ PF No. in which his previous balance from JKEPFO was transferred.

The office took the matter earnestly and utilized the digital tools to redress the grievance promptly. Accordingly, UAN details of the member was traced out by  Pranav Gupta, ASO and the employer was instructed to immediately complete the KYC in the traced out UAN so that the member could avail the PF benefits.

P F of same employee was remitted against two names- ‘Pappu’ and ‘Dev Raj’- change request approved based on e-pehchan card of ESIC, Rashan Card, PAN  and Aadhar submitted

One of the major corrections was done in r/o Dev Raj, an employee of M/s Snow White Services, as his name was wrongly mentioned as Papu in his PF records.

 Rizwan Uddin, RPFC-I directed the member to submit ESIC card and on the basis of documents provided by the member and joint declaration by the employer, his name change request from Papu to Dev Raj was approved and the correction got approved instantaneously.

Grievances of employers and employees appeared in person at EPFO, Jammu.

  Mustaq Ahmed, from Islamia Farida High School, Kishtwar appeared with request for balance enquiry and final claim settlement. The member was unable to view his passbook because for viewing passbook e- nomination is compulsory. The member was advised to file e- nomination after that which they can mark their date of exit and apply for PF Final Withdrawal.  Sunita Jamwal from M/s. RM Public School and  Ram Krishan was advised to submit Joint Declaration Form as their basic details were missing in the UAN.  Shib Singh from M/s. Hotel Subash Palace, Patnitop appeared in the programme as he was unable to submit transfer request because the Aadhaar was not linked with the UAN. Employer of M/s. Hotel Subash Palace, Patnitop was directed to Update the Aadhaar of member with his UAN so that member can submit transfer request. An employee  Mukesh Gupta appeared with the request for approval of their claim, as his claim was rejected due to father name was unavailable. The Member submitted Joint declaration and the matter was taken on priority, and PF commissioner gave directions to update the father’s name immediately. The requested corrections were effected the same day. Surinder Kumar appeared with the request that he was unable to submit his claim, he was advised to file e-nomination and after that he can apply for final PF withdrawal.

 Employer from Bhartiya Vidhya Mandir School, Sartingal Bhaderwah namely  Satyam appeared in the programme with the request to get password of his establishment login. He was provided with the password by using Forget Password as the contact number was already registered.  Naresh Gupta and Rohit Kumar appeared in the programme as they both were unable to avail the benefits of online services of EPFO.  Pranav, ASO, provided the UAN to  Naresh Kumar by checking old his old PF details and the member was advised to submit joint declaration for updating missing details. UAN was also provided to  Rohit Kumar as the Aadhaar of member is already linked with his UAN and he was advised to link his mobile number to Aadhaar and activate UAN, so that he can avail the benefits of online services of EPFO.

 Ajeet Mishra (RPFC – II),  Pranav Gupta(ASO),  Chiranji Lal Sharma (SSSA),  Subhash Chandra (SSSA),  Dharmendra Kumar (SSSA) and  Kanchan, helped in smooth conduct of “Nidhi ApkeNikat’ Programme.

Nidhi Aapke Nikat was also organized in RO Kashmir. Grievances of members were addressed promptly. In one specific case,  Shaista visited office for correcting her name in UAN which was wrongly updated as Shaista Qadri. The member was having medical emergency as her husband is ill and urgently requires medical care.  Ritesh Kohli, SSSA, was directed to process the Joint Declaration and correct the member’s name immediately. PF Commissioner  Rizwan Uddin was informed about the case, and he also approved the request from his login immediately. The member expressed gratitude for the prompt action.

Likewise, Joint Declaration of two cousin sisters  Aayeen Jan and  Shameema were processed on the spot. The employer of M/s. Rainbow International School was not having User ID and password of EPFO India portal and thus was not able to remit EPF of employees. Request of the School for User ID and password was processed immediately and the employer of the School promised to remit EPF of all employees within 3 days.

Nidhi Aapke Nikat held at District Office Leh (Ladakh)

Nidhi Aapke Nikat was conducted in the District Office, Skampari, Leh (Ladakh) on 10.03.2022. Total 09 stakeholders, comprising of 04 employers and 05 employees, visited EPFO District office, Leh for redressal of their grievances/queries.  Grievances raised by employers were regarding problems in filling of 5-A, KYC approval and updation of basic details of members. Grievances of Employees/members were related to UAN activation, filing of e-Nomination and member balance related queries. All Grievances/queries were resolved to the satisfaction of visitors.

The endeavor of ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat” programme has always been to redress the maximum number of cases/grievances the same day or at the earliest.
