International Women’s Day Celebrated at Pharkian Gali

Srinagar, Mar 8: International Women’s Day at Pharkian Gali, was celebrated promoting women’s sense of self-worth, ability to determine their choices and right to influence social changes and honouring the young achievers of Keran Sector. Kashmir’s renowned martial artist and a social activist who is a recipient of gold medal in National martial arts competition was the special invitee for the event.

The event commenced with a motivational speech by Kashmiri Stalwart – National Gold Winner in Martial Arts, followed by Asha ki Daudh for young girls. The creation of corners depicting various professions motivated the young aspirants and made them open up about their dreams and vision. The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony for meritorious girls having secured outstanding percentages in exams.
