In’tl Women’s Day 2022: 10th, 12th Class Toppers Among 27 Felicitated

Arsh Naseer Awarded in Sports Category for Pencak Silat

Srinagar, Mar 8 : Jammu and Kashmir Government on the eve of ‘International Women’s Day’ felicitated twenty-seven prominent women for their outstanding performances’ in diverse fields here on Monday.

The felicitation ceremony was presided over by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K Pole, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Farooq Ahmad Khan. The event besides others was also attended by Mission Director, ICPS Shabnam Shah Kamili.

An event management member said that this time around they had chosen two toppers – one from within Srinagar and one from outside Srinagar – from each stream for classes 10th and 12th. “It was done to further boost the morale achievers”, she said.

The awardees from Class 10th were; Toiba Ishfaq from R.P School – Srinagar and Tabreena Fayaz Springdales Public School – Pattan Baramulla.

Those awarded from Class 12th were; Arusa Parvaiz (Steam: Science), Kashmir Harward – Srinagar, Suhairah Ahad (Steam: Science) – GHSS Budgam, Tabina Jan (Steam: Commerce), Kashmir Harward – Srinagar, Haliya Anees, (Steam: Commerce), GHSS – Budgam, Adeeba Muzamil (Stream: Arts) Kothi Bagh – Srinagar, Mehak Manzoor (Stream: Arts) GHSS – Baramulla, Sahila Nabi (Stream: Home Science) Kothi Bagh – Srinagar, Masrat Mushtaq (Stream: Home Science) GHSS – Baramulla.

There were four awardees from the Department of JK Sports Council which included; Arsh Naseer and Khushboo Farooq in Pencak Silat category and. Kabra Altaf and Arshi Nad in Judo.

5 were awarded from Department of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) namely; Nighat Ara, M/S National Business Corporation, Sonwar, Srinagar – Tailoring and Readymade Garments, Tawahida Akhter M/S Shining Star Boutique, Lawaypora, Srinagar – Manufacture of Readymade Garments, Umatul Zahoor, M/S Craft Como, Khanyar – Chain Stitch, Nasira, M/S Yahoo Manufacturing Ind. Estate Khunmoh – Manufacture of hospital based items viz, bandage, cotton, linen etc, Sumaya Majan, M/S Lclafe IT Solutions. I/E Rangreth – Data Processing and Software Development.

From Department of JK Women Development Cooperation were; Kousar Nissar – Salon & Boutique, Fahmeeda Bano – Ari work/Boutique, Syed Bisma – Ari work/Boutique, Arifa Shabir – Boutique and Mubeena Rasool – Gulistan Pashmina.

Three women namely Ruqaya Ashraf, Women Welfare Officer, Mahila Shakti Kendra – Srinagar, Mansha Ahad, Women Welfare Officer, Mahila Shakti Kendra – Pulwama and Ishrat Ayoub, Centre Administrator, One Stop Centre – Bandipora were awarded for best performance.

Best Campaigner on the occasion was awarded to Bilal Ahmad Bhat, One Stop Centre/ Women Helpline-I81 and Women Centric Schemes.
