GDC Kulgam organizes webinar on ‘Digital Hygiene’

Kulgam, Jan 15: As part of Cyber Jagrukta initiative, the Department of Computer Sciences of Government Degree College (GDC) Kulgam today organized a webinar on the theme ‘Digital Hygiene’.

The event was held online through Google Meet and was attended by faculty, staff and students of the college.

Principal of the college, Dr Nazir Ahmad Simnani was chairman of the session and Dr Kaiser Javed Giri, Associate Professor and Director ITSS IUST Awantipora J&K was the resource person.

Principal of the college Dr Nazir Ahmad Simnani impressed upon the participants to follow the principles of digital hygiene in letter and spirit.

Introductory remarks about the event were presented by Prof Irshad Ahmad Lone from the Department of Computer Sciences.

The resource person during his presentation enlightened the participants about different online vulnerabilities, malicious practices, safe usage of electronic gadgets and resources available on the internet.

The event was coordinated by Prof Sajad Ahmad Shah, Head Department of Computer Sciences.
