Doda district plans to host Cultural festival

Doda, Jan 12: District Administration Doda is going to hold a mega cultural festival on January 28, 2022 with the objective of showcasing local heritage and cultural legacy reflected in the socio- religious life of the people.

In this regard, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr R K Bharti today chaired a meeting of key officials of the line departments here at DC office complex to discuss the arrangements to be put in place for organising the cultural festival.

During the meeting, the ADC informed that the event will be held January 28, 2022 in the Community hall Doda.

Moreover, the ADC directed the nodal department to provide all the logistic support to the concerned line departments who will put up the stalls at the venue on the scheduled date and time. The officers of concerned line departments were directed to submit the requirements in advance to the nodal department so that fool proof arrangements shall be ensured in advance.

With regard to the boarding and lodging of the visiting officers and artists, the ADC directed the Nodal Officer to submit the requirements so that the matter shall be taken up with the R&B department to facilitate the accommodation as per the space available to them.

Further, the ADC directed the nodal officer to keep in mind Covid-19 safety protocols while making arrangements.

In addition to this, the ADC directed not to allow anyone to visit the venue without masks.

The meeting was attended by CEO Doda, CAO Doda, CAHO Doda, DSWO Doda, DIO Doda, AD Employment, ARTO Doda, DSHO Doda, Special Officer JK AACL Sub office Doda, besides representatives of other concerned departments were also present.
