1,320 new COVID-19 cases in MP

Bhopal, Jan 7:As many as 1,320 fresh instances of novel coronavirus infection were reported in Madhya Pradesh over the past 24 hours.

“It has been decided to ensure stringent implementation of prevention-related protocol. For instance, drivers not wearing masks will not be supplied fuel at filling stations. Besides, fines shall be exacted from people without such protective cover. The active cases number 3,780; the positivity rate is 1.94 per cent and the recovery percentage 97.90. There is no proposal under consideration – as of now – to impose a lockdown or clamp day curfew. The circumstances of the third wave are somewhat distinct from the first two,” state Home Minister and government spokesman Narottam Mishra told the press here on Friday.
