Srinagar, Nov 10: Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday said the Jammu and Kashmir crisis “needs a political and not a military solution”.
She said this in response to reports that additional forces were being deployed in the Union Territory in the wake of surge in civilian killings.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mufti said more security personnel are being inducted.
“Even after converting J&K into a military garrison, additional troops are being brought to Kashmir. Whatever little breathing space people have here is being choked & taken over all under the pretext of security. The crisis in J&K needs a political & not a military solution,” she said.
