Rajouri Admin braces up to host All India Level T-20 Cricket Tournament

Releases 3 Month calendar of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav activities

RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 06: District Administration is going to host an All India T-20 Cricket Tournament  from November 18, 2021 to promote sports culture among the youth of the district.

In this regard, District Development Commissioner, Rajesh Kumar Shavan chaired a meeting of the officers of the concerned department and organisers of the Tournament for finalizing modalities.

The tournament is being organised by Hill view Cricket Club in collaboration with District Administration Rajouri and under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh Kumar Shavan.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Pawan Parihar; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sachin Dev Singh; CEO RDA, Vivek Puri; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tahir Mustafa Malik; CEO Education, Gulzar Hussain; AD FCS&CA, Arif Lone, Manager Sports Stadium Khoera.

The organiser of the All India Level cricket Tournament Shahzad Qazi (7006711310) and Zahid Mushtaq (9419164260) also attended the meeting.

It was informed that the tournament will commence from the 18th of November. It was also informed that teams and players from outside Jammu and Kashmir are expected to participate in the event.

The winning team will get a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 200000, while the runner up team will get a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 10000. Besides, the man of the match and man of the tournaments will also be rewarded.

The Deputy Commissioner assured full support in making the arrangements for successful conduct of the tournament.

He further informed that a three-month-long calendar of activities has also been released as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, which includes border Melas; Youth festivals etc.

“All India Level T-20 tournament that will be organised at the District Headquarter, will not only provide a platform to young players but also help them to make friends and understand the culture of participating teams coming from other districts and outside J&K”, the DC also said.
