Advisor Farooq Khan pays obeisance at Baba Reshi (RA) Shrine

Prays for peace & prosperity of J&K; reviews facilities provided to devotees

TANGAMARG, OCTOBER 12:  Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan today paid obeisance at Hazrat Baba Payaam Din Reshi (RA) Ziyarat at Tangmarg (Baba Reshi) where he prayed for long-lasting peace and prosperity of J&K.

During his visit, Advisor Khan met the management of the Shrine and enquired about the facilities being provided at there, besides other utilities.

The Advisor was accompanied by CEO Wakf Board, Mufti Farid; OSD to Advisor, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak; SDM Tangmarg and other concerned officers.

The Advisor took round of the whole area of the shrine where he enquired about langer facilities, boarding/lodging facilities for devotees, sanitation ,  and other related facilities being provided to devotees at the shrine.

The Advisor directed the CEO Wakf Board to have the landscaping of the whole area of shrine done at an earliest and also construct new facilities including accommodation for stay of devotees, sanitation complexes and langer facilities on immediate basis. He stresses  eco-friendly facilities with all the essentialities.

He impressed upon Wakf authorities to utilise the services of qualified consultancy while chalking out the plan for new constructions. He also called for best utilisation of resources.

Advisor Farooq Khan also called for restricting / banning use of polythene in the premises of shrine.

The Advisor also met scores of devotees and locals who put forth their demands like safe drinking water, parking facilities development of Baba Reshi Shrine and demand of other developmental works in the area.

The Advisor gave a patient hearing to all of them and assured that all the demands shall be fulfilled in a time bound manner.
