Family of four rendered homeless as houseboat sinks in Jhelum at Rajbagh

Srinagar, Sep 20: A family of four members was rendered homeless after their houseboat sank in the river Jhelum at Rajbagh Ghat late last night.

Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), owner of houseboat HB Delhi, Abdul Khaliq Guru said the houseboat sank all of a sudden last night and it has suffered extensive damage.

He claimed that the houseboat has suffered damage of Rs 50 lakh approximately and appealed to the government to provide compensation—(KNO)
