Lok Sabha adjourned for day

New Delhi, Aug 9 (UNI) The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day at 1400 hrs on Monday.

The Lower House witnessed protests by Opposition parties over Pegasus snooping controversy, and other issues.

Even as Opposition parties extended support to The Constitution (One Hundred Twenty Seventh) Amendment Bill which gives states right to have their own list of OBCs, the protests continued.

When the House met at 1400 hrs, Opposition members once again trooped near the Speaker’s podium raising slogans demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to come to the House.

Amid din, the House was adjourned for the day.
