Rajouri, Aug 07 (KNO): Fresh exchange of firing was reported on Saturday in Bhangai forest area as the encounter entered the second day in the Rajouri district.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the ongoing operation in Rajouri has entered the second after fresh firing was reported in Bhangai forest area of Thanamandi.

Earlier, an encounter broke out between militants and security forces in the area on Friday morning, in which two militants were killed, while search operation was going on.

The officials said that fresh brief exchange of fire was reported near the encounter site when joint team of army and police were conducting searches in the area.

They said that more reinforcement has been rushed to the spot—(KNO)
