Teenager Rescued in Unconscious Condition from Under-construction Pond at GDC Sogam

Kupwara, Aug 2 : A 16-year-old boy was rescued in an unconscious state after falling into an under-construction pond in vicinity of Government Degree College Sogam premises here on Monday morning.

Reports reaching GNS said that a boy identified as one Abdul Rehman Lone son of Zahoor Ahmad Lone of Sogam fell into the under-construction pond, while he was alongside few other local boys near the site. On noticing the fall, the fellow boys intimated the family of the teenager following which a rescue operation was launched at the site.

After nearly an hour of strenuous efforts by police, army, fire and emergency personnel alongside locals, the teenager has been rescued and removed to a nearby hospital in unconscious state.
Details in the overall well-being of teenager are awaited. (GNS)
