India logs 30,093 COVID-19 cases, 374 deaths

New Delhi, Jul 20 (UNI) India recorded 30,093 new cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours pushing the case tally to 3,11,74,322, while the death toll mounted to 4,14,482 with 374 more fatalities, the Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

According to the Ministry, the active cases declined by 15,535 to stand at 4,06,130, lowest in 117 days. It is now 1.30 per cent of the total caseload.

The past 24 hours saw 45,254 people recovering from the deadly virus, taking the total recovery count to 3,03,53,710, which is 97.37 per cent of the case tally. The fatality rate stood at 1.33 per cent.

Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that a total of 44,73,41,133 samples have been tested so far for coronavirus. Of this, 17,92,336 were tested on Monday.

Till now, 41,18,46,401 people have been administered COVID-19 vaccines, with 52,67,309 being inoculated against the virus in the past 24 hours.
