Taliban raises its flag above border crossing with Pakistan

Kabul, Jul 14(UNI) Taliban militants have reportedly raised their flag above a key border post between Afghanistan and Pakistan, and claimed that the area is now under their control.

They have shared videos on social media showing their white flag fluttering above the Spin Boldak crossing near Kandahar, BBC reported.

Afghan officials have however denied that the post has fallen, although pictures circulating on social media show the Taliban militants chatting to Pakistani border guards.

The BBC reports that the Taliban managed to take the border crossing without facing any resistance.
